The story of the Trail-Nut Jeeps!

Picture
A 2012 Jeep JK Unlimited Rubicon, her build began as a rock crawler for the rocks and obstacles of the Texas Hill Country with the MetalCloak Game-Changer suspension and 6PAK shocks. We love the way this system has performed over the years. It has never let us down, even though we have pushed her quite hard in the rocks at times. It always amazes us after a long day of off-roading through rough terrain, that she handles so beautifully as a daily-driver as well.
Now as we have evolved toward a style of wheeling that is more about long journeys into remote areas and exploring along the way, we have found we needed to make some enhancements to her build. Still sporting the same trusted suspension we have added the Ursa Minor rooftop camper and GooseGear camp kitchen.

Crawlur Offroad of Indio, California has helped us transform her into a Rocklander, a hybridized rock crawler/overlander with the capabilities and self-reliance of an overlander, yet still she has the heart of a rock crawler.

A 2011 Jeep JK Unlimited Rubicon also built with the rocks of the Texas Hill Country in mind. He was one of the first Jeep JK's in Texas with the proto-type MetalCloak 6PAK shocks and Game-Changer suspension. Purchased new, Jack was our first Jeep and we wheeled him nearly every weekend. We eventually added the GenRight hood, aluminum body armor and bumpers. He soon became a legend of sorts as he could so easily crawl up any obstacle we attempted. He can be forgiven for having that sluggish old 3.8L motor at his heart, because he has never let us down.
Crawlur Offroad of Indio California has help us take Jack to the next level and has him dialed in. He is running and handling better than ever, with a TeraFlex Heavy Duty Front Axle housing, 5.13 Yukon gears, RCV Axle shafts, Reid Racing Knuckels and much more.....

As of June 2020 Jack now has a new owner and we know he will bring them many years of Joy!
